Our lifelong obsession with typography kicked off when we fell in love with letterpress. So it’s no surprise that printed matter continues to be a primary interest of ours. Or that this book rings our bell. It’s a beautifully designed and printed visual history of the National Printing Office, with an emphasis on the history of Portugal. It delves into the most relevant printing methods used for bookmaking, including letterpress typography, calcography, and lithography in stone and offset.
Only 2,000 copies were printed. 291 pages. Offset and letterpress printed. Designed by Ruben Dias. Published in 2018. Printed in Portugal, all text in Portuguese. As far as we know we are the only US stockist of this title.
